Testimonials
"Thank you does not begin to cover the gratitude for the gift you gave me the day you assisted my eldest boy into the world. Not only did I give birth to Tobin, but I gave birth to my self. I never knew the strength and courage I had until that day. How selfless, and brave the midwives are...honoring each and every woman, her family, and babies. They give 150%, and make you feel like you are the only woman alive taking this incredible journey through what can seem insurmountable at times."
"The midwives of East Bay Homebirth Midwifery are the best. They take their work of caring for pregnant moms and their families seriously, provide holistic care that accounts for mind-body-spirit, and do all this with a tender balance of love and professionalism."
"Your hands are skilled. Your knowledge of how babies are born is vast. Your voices are steadying and comforting and true. You brought the spirit of our mother ancestors into the room of our birth. You are so practical. You are safe. In the most excruciating moments of the birth I felt safe and joyous because I sensed that my baby was being born into a sister circle."
"Nicole is a truly gifted midwife. She is compassionate and empathic, and demonstrates a deep respect for all that is pregnancy and childbirth. I was a first time mom, and she provided all the reassurance, information, and support I needed to feel confident about the birth and (even more importantly) becoming a mother. Probably no pregnancy or birth follows the parents' expectations, and mine was no exception. A few days after my due date an elevated blood pressure reading prompted a visit to the hospital. Nicole stayed with me as a support person; she helped me feel comfortable in what was a scary (but thankfully uneventful!) situation. During labor a week later, Nicole was fantastic! She was upbeat and calm and supported me to guide the birth process in ways that felt right to me. The birth presented a few extra complications. Nicole handled all of them perfectly: giving reassuring information and guidance in a way that helped me make decisions with confidence. I truly believe that I was able to have a successful, beautiful homebirth because of Nicole's skills and support. If you are lucky enough to have Nicole has your midwife, you can confidently look forward to a truly wonderful experience."
"Michelle was present at the births of both our children. I cannot say enough about how essential, comforting, and competent she was. In the course of my pregnancies she provided excellent prenatal care: she took time with my partner and I, answered all our questions thoroughly, and provided balanced and sound medical advice. For the birth of my first child, her labor support will always be a poignant memory: she was calm, soothing, and encouraging, giving me the space I needed to get into the zone of labor, and stepping up the support when I was overwhelmed. She stayed with me for several hours after the birth, making sure I and the baby were stable and comfortable. For the birth of my second child Michelle was equally amazing. She came early on in the labor because my water broke to start the process, and stayed nearby until I needed her. She supported my partner and I in our connection, was subtle and skilled with the medical tasks, and then saw us through a difficult but necessary transfer to the hospital for the delivery. I am so grateful to have had Michelle as one of my midwives."

"In short - she is magical. Beah is extremely competent and talented. She has a ton of experience & would be well prepared for any emergency. Beah's presence during my birth was a gift. She was grounded, focused & loving. She let me labor in my own way, but was also right there to help the baby to turn to ease my back labor pain and to help show me where to push. All along (through the months of care before baby, during labor & after) my journey, I felt that Beah was a gentle teacher. She offered sage advice when I asked questions and left me lots of room to feel empowered and confident."
"We had a wonderful homebirth experience with our second child with Beah Haber. Our first child was born in a large university hospital. With Beah I had really outstanding prenatal care. Our meetings made me feel nurtured, listened to, empowered me to trust my body and my choices, and most importantly helped me celebrate the joy and magic of pregnancy, something that gets lost a lot of time in traditional OB care's focus on ruling out pathologies. Beah has many years experience delivering babies in all different settings, and it shows in the care she provides. I felt very safe with her. She is conservative when necessary and yet knows how to step back and be hands off allowing me to listen to my own body and helping my husband feel safe enough to be able to support me through the labor. We feel so grateful to have found Beah & recommend her highly."
